Economy Weeks – a comprehensive network

The Economy Weeks are a joint project for the benefit of school students at higher level secondary schools (Gymnasien) in Switzerland and Liechtenstein. This project is supported by the Chambers of Industry and Commerce, numerous companies in Switzerland and the Ernst Schmidheiny Foundation. The Economy Weeks Conference brings all the partners together.

Financing of the Economy Weeks

Financing the Economy Weeks is the responsibility of many:

• Ernst Schmidheiny Foundation: Financing of instructors' training, further development of the teaching concepts, office

• Economy Weeks Financing Pool: A fund opened by companies, from which the teaching materials and a basic contribution to each Economy Week are financed.
• Chambers of Industry and Commerce: Each Chamber makes a budget available to enable the local organisation of Economy Weeks (in addition to the basic contribution to cover the costs)
• Companies: Numerous companies support the Economy Weeks "in kind" by delegating employees without charging a fee to act as instructors.
