Become part of a living network
Most instructors lead Economy Weeks over many years. They value this activity as positive and fulfilling. Instructors value the exchange of information and contact with other instructors - employees of other companies and industries - and with representatives of schools and chambers of commerce. Every year, instructors meet at the Symposium . Here they receive "food for thought" on current topics at the interface of the economy, politics and education. The Foundation regularly organises knowledge exchange conferences. Many Chambers of Industry and Commerce also organise annual events for "their" instructors.
Deployment for Economy Weeks
Instructors generally make themselves available for a week's work in an Economy Week every 1-2 years. Two instructors together direct one Economy Week. Your employers will honour this regular voluntary commitment and release you for the Economy Week.
Planning your deployment
The individual Economy Weeks are organised in a non-centralised manner, generally by the Chambers of Industry and Commerce responsible. Every autumn, the timetable for the Economy Weeks is uploaded to the login section of the Foundation website. Instructors can obtain information there and during the Foundation Symposium, and also contact the organisers concerned.

Support from the Chambers of Industry and Commerce
During an Economy Week, the instructors are the guests of the local Chamber of Commerce, in some cases directly of the school. In every host institution, there is a person specifically responsible for the Economy Weeks: the organiser. The organisers are responsible for the flawless organisational running of the Economy Weeks and the well-being of the instructors and are your initial contact persons on site.
