Recognising and experiencing the connections– the Foundation's economic teaching concepts
The Foundation offers teaching concepts in economic studies developed in collaboration with the Institute for Education in Economics (Institut für Wirtschaftspädagogik, IWP) at the University of St. Gallen. The teaching concepts are founded on computer-based management games and simulations and are used in experience-oriented project weeks in schools and universities and also in adult education.
Use in schools and universities
The existing teaching concepts are suitable for use at higher secondary school (Sekundarstufe II) level, in universities and in adult education. The EcoStartup teaching concept can also be used towards the end of lower secondary school level
(Sekundarstufe I).
Licensing
Schools and universities wanting to use the Foundation's teaching concepts must obtain a licence. A small licence fee is charged.
Training in use
Before a school is able to use one of the Foundation's teaching concepts, the teaching staff who are going to use it must first undergo training. The training courses are organised by the Foundation and are free of charge, except for accommodation and subsistence.
